Dido wants to make it clear that her latest single, 'All I Want' is not
a contender for the Christmas No.1 even though the B-side
is called 'Christmas Day', she said she's not expecting it to beat the
likes of Robbie Williams this year. The track was originally supposed to
be a soppy one until her brother Rollo from Faithless got involved:
"Basically I was in the middle of writing this really sweet song, you
know, like 'Oh, you've gone away and it's all really tragic…blah, blah.'
And Rollo came along and went 'No! No! That's boring, you got to make it
that the guy has slept with someone on the one night he's gone away' so
basically it gets really, really nasty by the end of the song. It's not
Christmassy unless Christmas is quite a depressing time of year for
everyone…nice!"

5th April 2001 - Congratulations
This week Dido announced she's going to tie the knot with her lawyer boyfriend Bob Page
(It's a good job he's not called Stan). He apparently proposed to her last month.
The couple, who live together in West London, may marry this summer if Dido can find time
in her busy schedule. They were introduced to each other by Dido's then boyfriend in a club
and the next day she wrote her hit single 'Here With Me'.
A friend of the singer's told The Sun newspaper: "They're a great couple. Bob decided the time was
right and she jumped at the chance. She's a strong and independent woman but this is the
icing on the cake in what has been a great year."
4th April 2001 - Dido and Britney
Britney Spears has enlisted the help of Dido to write tracks for her new album,
which is due out later this year.
2nd April 2001 - UK Tour
This week sees Dido making a seven-date tour of the UK. Starting at the
Barrowland in Glasgow (Friday 6th) and moving onto the Manchester Academy
(Saturday 7th), Colston Hall in Bristol (Sunday 8th), the Birmingham Academy
(Tuesday 10th) and finishing with three dates at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London
(Wednesday 11th, Thursday 12th and Saturday 14th).
If you're going to any of these gigs enjoy!

Name: Matthew Kik
How long have you been a Dido fan?: Err...I'm not!
What country are you from?: England!
How did you find out about my website?: I was there when you wrote it!
Will you be coming back to my website?: Most likely, you have some good ideas I want to steal!
Comments: Well this is indeed a thoroughly original site, not at all like your Pet Shop Boys site! Seriously though, it's a good site and Dido is much more attractive than Neil Tennent or Chris...err...Christ...from the Pet Shop Boys! Keep up the good work!
