'White Flag'
re-entered the singles chart at number 82 (probably due to Diana Vickers performing her
version on the X-Factor last week) and in the album chart
'Safe Trip Home'
went down 12 places to number 40.
11th December 2008 - Italian TV Appearence
On Sunday 14th December 2008 Dido will appear on Quelli che il calcio on Italy's
Rai 2 channel. Dido's performance is due to air between 2.30 and 3.30pm.
(Calcio, is the Italian word for football.)

4th December 2008 - Top European Album
'Safe Trip Home' has stormed to number one in the European album charts in its first week of
release. Dido ended AC DC's reign at the top, with their album 'Black Ice' now sitting at
number 2 after four weeks at the top.

21st November 2008 - Drumming Ambition
Dido would like to fulfil her dream of playing drums in a band. She wants to swap her
microphone for drumsticks after taking up the percussion instrument while making new album
'Safe Trip Home'. She told the British newspaper the 'Daily Star', "Drumming made me listen to
music differently - especially when I started playing along with things. I would do this thing
of playing along with my iPod. I'd actually love to be in a band at some point. The thing that
would excite me next, to learn more, would be to play for someone else while they're singing.
That would be really interesting."

30th October 2008 - Dido Dedicates Song To Late Dad
Dido has dedicated the track 'Grafton Street' on her new album, 'Safe Trip Home' to her late
father. She penned the track in memory of her dad William, who died in 2006, aged 68 from
lupus, a disease of the immune system. Dido admits the loss hit her hard she said, "Him dying
was huge. I was so close to him. I got to be with him and I was glad about that."
But she regrets not completing her third album sooner for him to hear her new tracks.
She added, "He was around to hear some of it. It's gutting I can't play him the whole album."

The release date of 'Safe Trip Home' has been put back two weeks to Monday 17th November 2008
worldwide (Tuesday 18th November 2008 in the USA).
17th October 2008 - Deluxe CD Of Safe Trip Home
A two disc Special Deluxe Edition version of 'Safe Trip Home' will be released. The first disc
contains the album, while the second disc features the bonus tracks 'For One Day', 'Summer',
'Northern Skies - Remix' plus a special 'Making Of Safe Trip Home Film'.

16th October 2008 - Dido Crowned Songwriter Of The Year
Dido was named Songwriter of The Year at the 28th annual ASCAP Awards at The Grosvenor House
Hotel in London last night.
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) honoured the top writer and
publisher members of the UK's Performing Right Society (PRS) at a ceremony held last night. The
top award went to Dido, who was named Songwriter of the Year and was recognised for the songs
'Thank You' and 'White Flag'. 'Solid' hitmakers Ashford + Simpson, while Kate Nash and
The Kooks received special awards.
26th September 2008 - Number 1
'Don't Believe In Love' has already been released on download in Spain and Italy. It's
currently at Number 2 in the Spanish iTunes chart and Number 1 in the Italian iTunes
chart.
24th September 2008 - Record Of The Week
BBC Radio 2's new Record of the Week is Dido's new single, 'Don't Believe In Love'.
15th September 2008 - Video Filming
Dido is in LA this week filming the video for her new single, 'Don't Believe In Love'. It will
be directed by AlexandLiane, a duo who have previously made videos for Scissor Sisters,
The Ting Tings, Bloc Party, Sam Sparro and Armand Van Helden.

The first single to be released from Dido's new album will be 'Don't Believe In Love', which

22nd August 2008 - Dido Is Back
After a four-year absence Dido is back. Her third album will be released on Monday 3rd
November 2008. 'Safe Trip Home' is the title and the first single to released off it is called,
'Don't Believe In Love'. The tracks are produced by Jon Brion, Ark and were recorded

All Dido is 7 years old today!

The long awaited CD single of 'Sing' by Annie Lennox, featuring Dido and 22 of the most
recognised female solo artists in the world (Madonna, Joss Stone, Celine Dion, Gladys
Knight, k.d. Lang, Angelique Kidjo, Bonnie Raitt, Shakira, Melissa Ethridge, Sarah McLachlan,
Fergie, Anastasia, Beverly Knight, Faith Hill, Pink, Sugababes, Martha Wainwright, Isobel
Campbell, Beth Gibbons, KT Tunstall, Shingai Shoniwa and Beth Orton) is released today having
previously only being available as a download only single.
As well as the CD hitting the shops today, you can also buy exclusive new versions of 'Sing'
through the Body Shop, with all profits going to TAC. The Body Shop eco-friendly CD will mark
the first time the shops have sold music before. It will feature the Glen Ballard version of
the song, along with the full length Moto Blanco version and 'Why'. The 12" Picture Disc will
be a collector's item with versions from Harry Rimerez, Dean Coleman and Moto Blanco, while
the enhanced CD will also feature the 'Sing' video and a gallery of images from Annie's trip
to Africa, as well as video clips of TAC's work.
