Dido was really good. She played all of my favourites from the album -
'Hunter', 'All you Want', 'Don't Think Of Me', 'Take My Hand', 'I'm No Angel',
'Honestly OK', 'Thank You'. 'Take My Hand' was amazing!
They made it totally bumpin'. Several of the songs were also remixed live,
that is, the music sounded very different from the album versions. The two
new songs she played were also amazing -
'See The Sun', and 'Do You Have A Little Time?' I managed to get several
pics of Dido right up close, so I was really psyched. During her last song,
I took two pics and quickly hid my camera, since the security guards were
so tight. Right in the middle of the song, one came over to me and took my
camera, and told me I would get it after the show. He came back a minute
later and handed me my camera, sans-film. I lost all the pictures I took.
I was seriously pi**ed. I still am. Why do people have to be such jerks?
meanwhile, I saw several people openly recording the concert with
microphones and mic stands and everything! why was that okay, but taking
pictures wasn't? needless to say, I am going to write a letter to the
Oakdale management complaining about the whole situation. Just the story
of my life....anytime I have something that makes me really happy,
something bad happens and ruins the happiness I had. Oh well. The whole
show was amazing nonetheless.
